The Porsche Design Group and Singapore-based megayacht builder Royal Falcon Fleet have reached the first milestone of the construction of the RFF135. The first joint project for the two companies, it is a luxurious anomaly on the water: a power catamaran with a length of more than 40 metres. The outer hull and the interior are in keeping with the functional, timeless and puristic hand of the Porsche Design Studio at Zell am See (Austria), which was responsible for the styling.

The appearance of the RFF135 is particularly extraordinary, as it was conceived as a “spacecraft on the water,” as was requested by the customer.

German sports car manufacturer Porsche denied reports that the company is in worse financial situation than previously thought, after German news magazine Focus reported debts of up to 14 billion euros (20 billion dollars).

The revised figures reportedly emerged during marathon talks hammering out a takeover bid by German carmaker Volkswagen AG (VW), which would make Porsche the 10th brand in a new global automotive giant. (more…)

Porsche has released photos of its new Panamera sedan over the past several months, culminating to an official unveiling at the 13th Auto Shanghai The automaker has released a handful of new photos of the car, plus some added details.

The Panamera has no shortage of luxury or high-tech features, and the official starting price of $89,000 is certainly better than what was rumored a few months ago. (more…)
